Thate Pan Hub, as the only international partner of code.org from Myanmar, brings the Hour of Code event to children aged 10-17 years old in all parts of the country. As Computer Science plays a crucial role in today’s technology age for children, this Hour of Code event was designed to equip children with basic Computer Science knowledge.
As the name suggests, the event is a one and a half hour long course filled with fun activities to learn coding. Through this program, children were able to learn computer science basics through interesting lessons, games and activities.
Hour of Code is an event organised by code.org for children all over the world to participate. Thate Pan Hub is code.org’s sole Myanmar partner and we were able to make the event into a nationwide one in 2021 (as opposed to the smaller-scale event we did back in 2020.) The event was open to all participants free of charge. Hour of Code - Myanmar National Event was conducted through a three day period with three different sections – with the option of participants choosing the time and date most convenient for them.
We are proud to be able to host such a great event for Myanmar’s youths and we hope to continue this tradition again in the upcoming years.
